The rotor and stator are two
different parts of a motor or generator, wherein the rotor is rotating, and the
stator is stationary. The rotor is placed inside the stator with an air gap in
between to allow for proper rotation. Over time, the performance of this setup
may degrade due to contamination, insulation breakdown, heat cycles, or any
other kind of damage or environmental factors. This is when you will need to
